The line between watch and jewellery becomes quite blurred with the Tag Heuer Link CJF1314. Sure it tells time, has a useful calendar and second hand, but it’s also super shiny and with a mother of pearl diamond dial and bezel. The beautiful iridescent dial is framed with high quality round brilliant cut diamonds that have been bead set directly into the 316l stainless steel bezel. When it comes to pretty, plus being a more than capable sports watch, it’s hard to beat Tag Heuer’s thoughtfully designed “Link” series. The look has become iconic to the brand. The basic style goes back almost 40 years to the original Sports Elegance series from 1987. Although Tag Heuer has tweaked the shape here and there, the Link is instantly recognizable as the successor to the “S/el”. Its look can only be described as a Tag Heuer. Mimicked by many lesser brands over the years but there can only be one original. At 33mm in diameter, it is larger than many lady’s watches but it isn’t massive, heavy, and difficult to wear. The beautiful white mother of pearl dial and thin bezel makes for a watch that looks a bit bigger than the measurement suggests. Refined details set this watch apart from the crowd as the true luxury product it is. Only VS-FG or better quality diamonds serve as twinkling hour marking beacons and then of course there is the beautiful pastel coloured rainbow mother of pearl dial. 68 round brilliant cut diamonds add a little bit less than a carat (0.91ct. total weight) of sparking bling according to the precious stone certificate supplied by Tag Heuer. An integrated locking buckle with fine tuning length adjustment keeps everything securely in place no matter the activity. There isn’t a sharp edge to be found anywhere on the watch. From the curved lab-grown sapphire crystal to gently contoured crown guards, it’s a subtle exercise in timekeeping comfort. Overall condition is very good. Every component on the watch and bracelet retains its original polished finish showing some minor scuffs and scratches. One of our on staff goldsmiths could easily polish the case/bracelet to like new condition while you wait in less than 15 minutes. Keeping excellent time with all functions working as designed courtesy of the high precision Swiss quartz movement. In addition to the regular time keeping duties, this watch features a 30 minute, 1/10th second chronograph timer, with lap time. Tag Heuer retired this model a number of years ago but they still produce a ladies model of similar (ref: WBC1316) 32mm size for $7,100.00 but without the chronograph feature and fewer diamonds. Including a one-year Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers warranty, original inner/outer boxes, stone certificate, instructions (missing the original warranty card), the watch is estate priced at $2,500.00 CAD.
