Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean watches are becoming more collectible all the time. The flagship of the Sea-Master line has been around since 2005. The models with the super scratch-resistant ceramic bezels are always snapped up quickly in our estate department. Our latest Planet Ocean is this slightly smaller size version made to a comfortable 39.5mm diameter. The actual measurement our digital caliper is 40.6mm. This the the perfect dimension for the average sized gentleman’s wrist.
It’s one of the models that everyone’s looking for with the Omega’s in-house developed 35 jewel calibre 8800. All 200 plus components were designed and manufactured in Omega’s workshops. The movement features lots of cool technology like Omega’s proprietary co-axial escapement, silicon hairspring, slightly slower 25,200 cycle per hour frequency, a long 55 hour power reserve using 1 mainspring, bi-directional winding rotor, blackened screws, balance wheel, mainspring barrel and more. The slightest movement of your wrist causes the weighted rotor to spin, efficiently and silently winding the movement. The micro-mechanical masterpiece is visible through the display case back.
This movement has taken the chronometer rating a step further with its METAS certification. Each Omega mechanism equipped with a “Master Chronometer” calibre is certified by the Swiss Federal Office of Metrology (METAS). The testing goes above and beyond the typical COSC chronometer standards.
METAS requires all the movements to already be COSC certified but also be stable when exposed to magnetic fields of up to 15,000 gauss. The accuracy requirements are also tighter than COSC. A final test confirming the manufacturer’s water resistance rating is conducted on the complete watch with the movement installed. Being a Seamaster all the regular sporty diver features are here. Watertight to 2000 feet, one-way ratcheting bezel, helium escape valve, locking buckle with concealed fine adjustment extension, bright oversized luminous hands and hour markers plus the more basic details of threaded crown/case back, etc.
New new this Seamaster Planet Ocean 215.30.40.20.01.001 had a suggested retail price of $9,600.00 CAD and can be seen on the Omega website. Our 39.5mm gently worn example is estate priced at $5,500.00 CAD. It looks to have only been worn a few times, with only a few very light scuffs on the bracelet and case.
All the accessories and packaging are in perfect condition, the plastic protective sticker is still on hinge release button.
Included with the watch are the original box, foam-lined outer box, instruction booklet, card wallet, instructions, hang tag, and even the original brown cardboard shipping box, but it is missing the original endorsed warranty card. 14kt. rose gold hinged bangle with 1.00ct. chocolate & white diamonds, 11.5gr. $2,940.00 CAD. 171-00110
This fashionable bracelet looks like it has never been worn before. There isn’t a scratch or scuff anywhere on the surface. The black rhodium accent plating around the chocolate brown diamonds is fully intact, even on the tips of the prongs. Perhaps the previous owner received this as a gift and the style wasn’t to their taste, or it might have been a spontaneous purchase while on holiday that is now a second thought. The 5.8mm wide overlapping braid style has been a popular with our customers in both white and yellow gold. It is quite striking in rose gold especially with the contrasting fancy brown and white diamonds.
The little bit of copper used in the gold alloy produces this flattering blush to what would normally be a typical 14 yellow gold. Rose gold may not be part of everyone’s fashion pallet, but many of us love the soft colour. As an added benefit, the small amount of copper blended with yellow gold results in a harder metal, perfectly suited for use in a hinged bracelet. Well made in 58.3% purity 14 karat gold, this sturdy bracelet weighs in at 11.7 grams including the 79 round brilliant cut diamonds of I1 clarity, HI colour (white diamonds) and fancy brown (chocolate diamonds).
All the diamonds have been hand set in four prong settings, that are much more secure than a shared prong set up. The bracelet is fastened by a white gold plunger clasp that provides better spring with more security than yellow gold. There are no witness marks on the white rhodium clasp tongue confirming that this bracelet has pretty much never or hardly been worn.
A side safety clasp supplies an extra level of insurance against accidental opening. The hinge is tight and the clasp snaps shut with a reassuring click. Like new and estate priced at $2,940.00 CAD. Stock #171-00110.

2021 Seiko 140th anniversary Prospex Diver 40.5mm SPB213J1 $1,000.00 CAD. 501-00388
Many companies choose to mark their anniversaries by drawing on the past for design inspiration. To commemorate the 140th year since the inception of Seiko in 2021, Japan’s most prominent manufacturer produced this retro styled Prospex diver.
It is influenced by Seiko’s first real divers watch, the 62MAS from the mid 1960s. The anniversary version is much larger at 40.5mm diameter to appeal to modern tastes but otherwise respects many of the design characteristics and aesthetics of the original. Naturally, 60 years of refinements and improvements have made this version a much more capable performer. Water resistance is up to an industry standard of 200 meters thanks to the screw down crown, the original only had a push in crown.
The sapphire crystal offers perfect optics and an exponentially harder surface. Improved luminous pigments allow use in low and no light environments.
The higher frequency modern automatic movement with hacking seconds should prove to be more accurate than the old 17 jewel mechanism with just 37 hours of autonomy. The modern calibre 6R35 features 24 jewels with a power reserve close to twice that of the original. For me a light coloured dial on a serious sports watch is always refreshing against the multitude of black and blue options. A shiny blue one way bezel (original was two way) is indexed 120 times for timing intervals of up to 1 hour in 30 second increments. The modern version sports a Rolex inspired Oyster style bracelet complete with locking buckle and a rather complicated diver extension.
Our watch remains in original unpolished condition showing little wear. There are a few light scuffs on the case and bracelet but nothing distracting. We suspect the lack of use by the original owner caused the hair spring to stick making the watch run very fast. A full service by our watchmaker in May 2025 has the watch running accurately and reliably.
It comes with the full packaging, documents, fully endorsed warranty card, bubble wrap, and even some case stickers. This watch is a limited edition but not too limited as Seiko produced 6000 examples. When new this watch had a retail price of $1,550.00, our freshly serviced, excellent condition estate example is priced at $1,000.00 CAD. Stock #501-00388.

Cats have been revered by humans for thousands of years, to the point in some cultures they are viewed as gods and deities. Therefor it comes as no surprise to see their image depicted in everything from jewellery to fashionable fabric prints and even tattoos. Feline imagery has been popular since the first silhouette was etched on a cave wall. Cartier have featured jewellery inspired by the a panther for over 100 years, they even have a watch model named after the sleek cat.
Cartier are currently showing more than 500 products under the panther theme. The newest Cartier side by side panther ring design features black lacquer and green garnet eyes and has a retail price of $11,000.00 CAD. Our newest estate item isn’t by that famous French Jewellers but the panther and Cartier inspiration is certainly evident.
It was crafted in 10 karat yellow gold and is accented with marquise shaped blue sapphires for the eyes. It measures a 6 and can easily be adjusted up or down a finger size or two by one of our onsite goldsmiths. The ring has been freshly polished and is in excellent condition. Breitling SuperOcean SteelFish. Ref: A17390, 44mm diameter. $2,500.00 CAD. 515-00110
Breitling SA is a watch company founded in 1884 in Saint-Imier Switzerland, a small Swiss town with a population of around 5000 people; it’s also where the Longines watch company originated. The 44mm Breitling SuperOcean Steelfish (now retired) is everything you could possibly want or need from a luxury tool/diver watch. Following the trend and popularity of diver watches of the 1950s, Breitling released the SuperOcean in 1957. A watch with a very impressive for the time 200 meter water resistant case.
Technology and materials have advanced significantly since the late 50s. A modern SuperOcean like our A17390 flaunts ten times the water resistance of the original. With a depth rating of 2000 meters a helium escape valve is a must. The automatic valve is designed to protect the watch if you find yourself in a decompression chamber after a particularly deep, extended dive. A handy unidirectional all steel timer bezel has easy to read raised markers at the quarter hours and a luminous dot at 12 o:clock for timing capability even in complete darkness.
8 screws surrounding the outside of the bezel are used to attach the bezel to the case as well as to give the timepiece a more nautical look. A watch that could as easily and justifiably be worn with both a three-piece or wet suit.
The SuperOcean Steelfish A17390 is arguably one of the best looking dive watches ever made by Breitling. The watch is on the iconic Breitling Professional II bracelet, manufactured and turned from a four meter long stainless steel bar. Each link is patiently hand polished before being assembled and then polished again.
The links and pins are fusion-welded at 3400 degrees Celsius to guarantee durability. It comes with original inner/outer boxes, plastic hang tag. This particular model comes with the circular grained silver dial for that classy tone on tone look. Lightly worn but in original unpolished condition showing minor wear only.
