Boasting over 60 years of experience in the jewelry industry combined, Gabriel Gelin and Sam Abaci founded the jewellery company Gelin Abaci in 1969. Renowned for their high-quality engineering and their unique tension setting technique, Gelin Abaci designs contemporary jewellery pieces where the stones are held in place by pressure.
Suitable for certain hard stones like diamonds, this technique involves holding the stones in place using compression rather than traditional prongs or bezels. This unique setting style, which applies approximately 65 to 95 pounds of pressure to the diamond, emphasizes its brilliance and creates the illusion of a “floating” diamond.
Our estate example features a striking, 0.60 carat heart-shaped diamond centre stone that is GIA-certified with SI1 clarity and F colour (GIA #6137286686).
For extra sparkle and elegance, the romantic heart-shaped centre stone is flanked by 2 high-quality round shoulder diamonds also of SI1 clarity and F/G colour (0.31 total carat weight) as well as an additional 6 round bead set accent diamonds (also 0.31 total carat weight) of VS/SI clarity and G/H colour.
At a substantial weight of 8.2 grams, the 14 karat white gold band ensures both durability and a luxurious feel. Currently size 5.5 with a possibility to size down only.
Comes with a 2013 Gem Lab Appraisal Report suggesting a retail value of $8,950.00.
Our estate price is $2,750.00 CAD. This exquisite designer ring is ideal for someone who values contemporary design, GIA-certified quality, and a symbolic heart-shape for an engagement or anniversary gift. Stock #101-00583.
Our latest reference 124060 is a little newer, in better condition, and a little less expensive than the last No Date Submariner we showcased. The original Submariner was produced with one task in mind and one task only, accurate, reliable timekeeping, in an underwater environment. It debuted in 1953 with a water resistance rating of a modest 100 meters. It featured large luminous hands and hour markers coated in highly radioactive radium.
Radium was used only until around 1962 when Rolex started using far less radioactive substance called tritium to illuminate the hands and markers. In 1999 tritium was replaced with non radioactive luminova. Fast forward 7 decades since the original debuted and the basic design is the same, but this one won’t be setting off any Geiger counters. The inert bluish/green phosphorescent glow of Rolex’ latest luminous material is a proprietary concoction they call Cerachrom.
Our latest estate Submariner is the entry level model 124060. This is the version that is the closest in spirit to the original design that also lacked a calendar display (the first calendar equipped Submariner didn’t appear until 1969). The simplicity and perfect balance of the basic Sub has been its biggest selling point. This is the newest version featuring a slightly larger 41mm case, thinner lugs, and a 1mm wider bracelet compared to the previous model.
A threaded crown/case back, improved materials and manufacturing techniques have increased water resistance to 300 meters. The “no date” Sub has always been the purest of design but has never been the most popular. By our estimates Submariners with a date outsell the no date models by around 3 to 1, making these a little more rare. This watch is in 100% original condition showing practically new. There are only a few minute scuffs and scratches on the buckle and bracelet.
It has never been polished or refinished. It was originally purchased in Canada from an authorized Rolex agent and comes with all the tags, documents, endorsed warranty card, inner/outer boxes, protective cardboard sleeve, and even the foam box liner The Rolex 5-year international warranty will protect the next owner until the end of August of 2027.
All Submariner models are in high demand and agents rarely have even a single example on display that is actually for sale. Contemporary Rolex Submariners typically don’t last very long around here. Duty free and tariff free, this complete example is in excellent condition and estate priced at $15,500.00 CAD. Stock #505-00481.

And now for something completely different. We’ve never been known for our selection of fine furniture, but this little coffee table definitely belongs among our vintage and estate treasures. This coffee table is more than worthy to be in our estate collection as it contains 136.35 troy ounces of sterling silver (over 9.3 pounds). This unusual curiosity was produced by the Franklin Mint from 1974 through 1976. The table stands a little over 2 feet tall by 22 inches wide. Contained in 2 pull-out drawers under the glass are the flags of the United Nations countries as they were in 1974.
This is a snapshot of world political history cast in high-quality 925 sterling silver ingots. A few of the 135 countries represented in this collection no longer exist today. According to the Franklin Mint website, each silver flag ingot cost $9.50 in 1974, the entire set cost $1,282.50 USD 50 years ago. These sets are quite rare as many of the 7731 produced were melted down just a few years later when the price of silver spiked from just a few dollars per ounce to almost $50.00 CAD in 1980.
Finding a complete set without missing components in excellent condition is almost impossible. The set comes with its original hardcover book outlining the symbolism and meanings of each country’s flag.
History collectors and those who recognize the value of silver may have an interest in this rare item. The average weight of each medallion is over one troy ounce and is 92.5% fine silver. At today’s silver price (July 4th. 2025) the recyclable silver content alone in this set is over $6,300.00 CAD. The complete collection including the table and book is estate priced at $7,000.00 CAD. Heart motif pendants have always been popular for romantic gift giving occasions. Heart inspired jewellery can be abstract or simple; there are many different ways to express your creative side with heart themed jewellery. Our latest heart is this tri-colour, tri-frame pendant set with a pinkish/brown morganite set in the centre. Moganite have become a popular coloured gem alternative to the more predicable sapphire, ruby, and emerald choices seen in every jewellery store. This one showcases a very flattering modified brilliant cut that is almost identical to what you’d see on a perfectly cut round diamond. We calculate the 6.5mm diameter morganite weighs approximately 0.90 carats.
Looking through the pinkish/brown beryl reveals an almost perfect eight point star pattern reflecting from the pavilion (see 1st image). This isn’t something we typically see in coloured gemstones as the cutting process in gems other than diamonds isn’t nearly as accurate or scrutinized. The morganite is surrounded by 3 stepped heart shaped frames in yellow, white, and rose gold. Each frame has been embellished with a string of precisely set tiny diamonds. The 160 small diamonds weigh just 0.003 carat each, 0.50 carat in total weight. What they lack in outright size they add in excellent reflective sparkle to the piece. This unique heart shaped pendant is suspended from a light weight rose gold rolo style necklace. An additional jump-ring loop has been soldered into the necklace to be worn at 16 inches or 18 and is secured by a large lobster style clasp.
The necklace and pendant are in like new condition and weigh a combined 5.4 grams. This colourful expression of a heart pendant is estate priced at $1,200.00 CAD. Stock #161-00365.

When a regular Submariner just isn’t quite up to the task because it’s only watertight to 1000 feet, you need a Sea-Dweller. While it looks almost identical to a garden variety Submariner, it’s actually quite different. The first thing you notice is the absence of a date magnifier over the calendar. The synthetic crystal is much thicker than the standard Submariner, as is the stainless steel case which enables the watch a water resistance rating of an amazing 4000 feet.
Located on the 9:00 case edge is a Helium escape valve, something the ordinary Submariner lacks. If you’re living in a pressurized diving bell breathing a mixture of oxygen and helium, your watch will need this escape valve to bleed off the accumulated helium gas as you decompress.
This example was manufactured around 2005 according to the “D” serial number. The watch has been worn but worn responsibly. There are no significant areas of wear. The full length Oyster bracelet shows little sag and no stretch.
Sea-Dwellers of this era were the most qualified of all Rolex watches and are far rarer than Submariners of the same era. They are the most specialized sports Rolex model.
You couldn’t get them with fancy diamond dials or with gold trim, they only come in all business stainless steel with a jet black glossy dial. We don’t have Sea-Dwellers very often so we thought it would be fun to compare it to a Submariner of the era.
The bezel on the SD measures 39.5mm in diameter while the Submariner measures 40.1mm. The case of the SD is 14.6mm thick and the Sub measures just 12.9mm.
The SD weighs 87.3 grams (head only), Sub weighs 74.3 grams. Sea-Dwellers are the bulldog of the Rolex line; compact, tuff, and they have a bit of an attitude. This watch lacks its original paperwork box but it does come with some Sea-Dweller exclusive accessories. The never installed extra bracelet extension link is accounted for, as is the Buehlmann dive table charts and travel wallet.
This most purposeful of any Rolex is working great, keeping excellent time, and comes with a Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers 1-year warranty. Estate priced at $11,500.00 CAD. Stock #505-00566.
