1oz. 9999 fine gold coin Royal Canadian Mint (Ontario gold). Spot plus 2%. 912-001012

There are no more desirable gold coins than those minted in Canada by the Royal Canadian Mint. Renowned for the highest quality, consistency, and purity; of up to 99.999% for special editions. The regular Maple leaf 1 ounce coin is one of the world’s most sought after forms of gold bullion. The high demand of Canadian gold coins also means they are the target of counterfeiters looking to cash in on their popularity. Even when they are sealed, we like to confirm they are authentic. This usually means removing them from the tamperproof packaging. We had to literally break this one out of its container to confirm everything was as represented. We have seen cheap fakes on numerous occasions but sophisticated gold cap/tungsten core bars an coins are being encountered more and more. The specific gravity of Tungsten is almost identical to pure gold making weight vs. dimensions testing useless. Once you cover a tungsten core with a reasonably thick shell of pure gold, scratch testing, X-Ray fluorescence gold testing machines are no good either because they can only test to a depth of 20-30 microns. Along with decades of experience we use the Sigma Metalytics Pro to confirm any gold bars and coins we are unsure about. The Sigma Metalytics Pro (PMV) tester works by using electromagnetic waves to measure the specific electrical resistivity of precious metals, allowing it to penetrate through coins, bars, and assay cards to detect fakes. It verifies authenticity by confirming the metal’s bulk purity and density, with sensors that can check depths up to 12.50mm. This RCM 1oz. 9999 easily passed all of our tests once we removed it from the packaging. It is also reassuring that it showcases all the latest state of the art anti-counterfeiting micro embossing technology. Our latest 1 ounce $50.00 face value Maple Leaf coin was produced using Canadian gold sourced from just one location in Ontario. The Detour Lake Mine is a strategic holding of Agnico Eagle, located 185 kilometer northeast of Cochrane Ontario. It is the largest gold producing mine in Canada with the country’s largest gold mineral reserves. Most Canadian gold coins we see do not come with any documentations identifying the source of gold used. We are please to offer this 2024 issue at just the spot price plus 2% for NON credit card purchase. VISA and MasterCard payments are an additional 2% to cover credit card fees. All bullion purchases like this are not subject to any form of sales tax. This coin remains in perfect condition. Stock #912-001012.

Tag Heuer “Link” mother of pearl & diamond dial 0.47ct. tw. VS-FG, 27mm, WJF1319. $2,000.00 CAD. 520-00184

Tag-Heuer struck gold when the introduced the Sports Elegance (S/el) way back in 1987. The wishbone shape bracelet link design quickly caught on and was a defining look for the brand. It evolved over the decades into the Link series that still retains the spirit of the original and continues to prominently feature wishbone shaped bracelet links. The all stainless steel construction reference WJF1319 has always been a popular choice for a sophisticated tone on look with some extra bling courtesy of 63 round brilliant cut natural diamonds that decorate the bezel, also serving as dial markers on the 27mm watch. The white mother of pearl dial contributes its own special display of faint rainbow colours as the watch is moved. This was one of Tag Heuer’s prettiest creations and has always be a popular choice for someone looking for a pretty watch that doesn’t require delicate treatment. The threaded crown and case back give this little watch a water resistance rating of 200 meters! The lab-grown sapphire crystal is optically perfect and almost impossible to scratch given its hardness. The solid stainless steel bracelet showcases an integrated locking buckle blending perfectly into the link pattern. The bracelet links are a masterpiece of clever design. They are held together with an internal screw that can’t be seen from any angle. Without knowing the trick, you’d swear the links are not removable. Powered by an almost zero maintenance ultra precise Swiss quartz movement, this watch should be accurate for only a second or two per month. These 3 hand with date display movements usually go a couple years on a readily available silver oxide battery, with a full overhauls often at 20 year intervals. Luxury timekeeping doesn’t get much easier that a well built, water resistant, Swiss quartz watch. It remains in original condition showing  some light scuffs and scratches on the case and bracelet. One of our talented onsite goldsmiths could easily polish away these minor blemishes for the next owner in just a few minutes, should they choose to. The watch does not come with any original documents or packaging. It does comes with our complimentary 1 year warranty and custom Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers travel pouch. Stock #520-00184.

1978 Tudor Princess OysterDate 23mm 92313 rare. $3,000.00 CAD. 505-00646

Rolex began selling watches in the early part of the 20th century. In the mid 1920s they introduced the Tudor brand as lower priced, high quality alternative. Even though Tudor watches have always been significantly less expensive than Rolex, they represent just a small percentage of the market. Looking at the worldwide preowned segment, we’d estimate Tudor numbers are not much more than 10% compared to available Rolex models. Rolex have invested and promoted heavily in the Tudor brand over the last 15 years, reviving it as serious competition to Omega, Breitling, Tag-Heuer and others in the mid-luxury segment. Tudor is brand to keep keep an eye on; they offer many interesting, capable, and popular models, some with waiting lists to buy. They have always been a great value proposition; their vintage watches often used the same watertight Oyster cases, bracelets, crowns and crystals, as the Rolex originals. Crowns, buckles, and case back are often signed with the famous 5 point Rolex Coronet logo. Our latest Tudor is a very interesting Princess Oyster Date in a diminutive 23mm case size. Reference 92313 is very uncommon to begin with, but a black dial version with a genuine Rolex Oyster two-tone bracelet like this is never seen. According the the original and only previous owner, this is how she received the watch when she was an employee at Rolex in Toronto. When you come across one of these watches, typically they come on a two-tone Jubilee style bracelet that is only gold plated with a Tudor shield logo on the buckle. The bracelet on this example has a solid 14 karat gold stripe running down the middle. It will fit the average sized ladies wrist and can be made smaller if required. The rare black dial with gold text is in perfect condition. Finding any black dial vintage watch without stains, scratches, random blemished, and intact lume plots almost never happens, especially one pushing 50 years old. The Swiss-made, quick set, hacking, automatic timepiece is working well inside the small case and keeping good time. The solid 14 karat fluted bezel is still sharp and crisp, the signed Rolex crown turns more than 360 degrees before releasing to the winding position. For the lady looking for a retro Rolex in a smaller size, this is the watch to get. It does not come with any original packaging or documents. A 1-year warranty will be provided for the next owner of the rare little Tudor. Estate priced at $3,000.00 CAD. Stock #505-00645.

Canadian diamond drop earrings “Fire and Ice” 0.25ct. tw. I1-HI, 3.0gr. 14kt. $900.00 CAD. 151-00282

The Canadian connection with these earrings make them just that much more desirable. The centre two diamonds were mined in Canada, likely sourced from the Ekati mine in The North West Territories. Even these small centre stones come with their own specific identification number that’s been permanently laser engraved into the girdle edge of each. Accompanying the earrings is a credit card size certificate of origin showing the jewellery item they are set in with product number in a folder. A lot of extra time, effort, and expense goes into the marketing of Canadian natural diamonds. When purchased new, Canadian diamonds are noticeably more expensive than diamonds sourced from other locations in the world. Aside from some rare coloured diamonds mined in Australia, I can’t think of another supply source that come with origin information. The Canadian centre diamonds are surrounded by 56 tiny round brilliant cut diamonds, each measuring just 1mm in diameter. The square scalloped edge drops measure 8.7mm x 8.7mm and dangle freely from spring loaded French backs. These earrings are in absolutely perfect condition showing zero signs of wear and tear. Fire and Ice Canadian diamonds can be found at select independent jewellers in Canada. The Fire and Ice website contains limited information, but does have a link allowing the user to verify their Canadian diamond using the unique serial number. These like new estate earrings come with certificates, folder, and even the original box. Estate priced at $900.00 CAD. Stock #151-00282.
