2011 IWC International Watch Company Aquatimer IW3767 44mm. $5,900.00 CAD. 501-00415

If a Rolex, Breitling or Cartier just seems a little too pedestrian and you desire something a little more exotic, how about an IWC Schaffhausen? Not only is it a fun name to say, it’s one of the true great watch manufactures that is more than just a well marketed brand. From their 1868 inception in Schaffhausen Switzerland by American watchmaker Florentine Ariosto Jones, they developed an international reputation for manufacturing watches of the highest quality. International Watch Company Aquatimer IW3767 is one of the more sporting models offered. It’s a full sized watch with a bezel diameter of almost 46mm. Purchased new in 2011 at an authorized IWC agent in Aruba. The watch looks is in very good to excellent condition, no refinishing of any kind has ever been done on the watch. Only the most minor evidence of use can be observed. The sharp bevelled and polished lug edges are crisp. Is is uncommon to see an Aquatimer with a stainless steel bracelet, most of these watches are seen on a rubber strap.  Just like the rubber strap version, the original bracelet is equipped with a clever quick release system allowing removal without tools in only a few seconds. Threaded crown, pressure fit lab-grown sapphire crystal, and threaded crown contribute to a water resistance rating of 12 atmospheres; more than enough for any sports watch. Bright luminous hands and markers are very easy to read in daylight or dark situations. Simple stick markers and thick hands add to the legibility. As an added extra party trick, the one way ratcheting bezel sapphire coated bezel is also treated with two colours of luminous material. A slightly curved synthetic sapphire crystal with a special double sided antireflective coating is a luxury touch even Rolex don’t do. The sapphire bezel insert won’t fade and is much harder than any metal alternative. Included with purchase is the original box, endorsed warranty card, instructions, polishing cloth (never even unfolded) and link removal tools. When the quick set 60 minute bezel timer isn’t quite enough, an easy to use 12 hour chronograph timer adds extended timing capability along with more accuracy. Including a one year Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers warranty the watch is estate priced at $5,900.00 CAD. Stock #501-00415.

10 karat yellow gold soccer ball pendant, 2.75 grams, 16mm diameter. $375.00 CAD. 436-00372

My soccer career ended when I was around 14 years old after our Firenze Restaurant team finished runner up to the undefeated Buns Master Bakery squad in the Barrie City championships for our age group. Soccer is the world’s most popular sport; it’s widely accessible, has low costs, and is simple to play but difficult to master. It’s estimated that around 40% of the world’s population are considered fans of the sport. Did you know that until 1970 most soccer balls were brown. Following the action for televised matches on small black and white TV sets of the era was very difficult; even more so when the ball became wet or dirty. Adidas created the “Telstar” (short for “Television Star”) for the 1970 World Cup in Mexico. Its 12 black pentagons and 20 white hexagons offered high contrast and made the ball’s movement easier to track. The high visibility pattern was also useful for players, helping them see the ball’s rotation and improve foot placement. Our 10 karat yellow gold soccer ball doesn’t display the exact Adidas Telstar pattern, but it will never be mistaken for anything other than a soccer ball. It measures 16mm in diameter and weighs in at 2.75 grams. Crafted from sturdy 10 karat yellow gold, this pendant will last a lifetime. The FIFA World Cup is coming in June 2026. This charm might be bring luck to your favorite country’s team. Canada is ranked 30th for this years event. With some luck and a few favorable bounces hopefully we have a respectable showing as a participating host country. This pendant/charm is in like new condition showing zero wear on the bail or movable joint. Estate priced at $375.00 CAD. Stock #436-00372.

2019 Panerai Radiomir 1940 3-Days 42mm PAM00575 18 karat rose gold. $17,000.00 CAD. 501-00395.

Get yourself a gold watch while the prices are still cheap. We feel this statement accurately reflects the current market prices of luxury gold watches, especially used and vintage watches. Consider the simple fact that basic commodity cost of raw gold has more than tripled over the last 7 years, but the retail pricing of most brands has risen only by around 50% on gold watches. Take for example the classic Rolex Day-Date 36 128238. In 2019 the retail price was $36,250.00 CAD; today the same watch cost $55,300.00 CAD. During the same time period (2019-2026) the price of gold has exploded from $1,800.00 per ounce CAD to over $6,500.00 per ounce. It is of our opinion that manufacturers will accelerate price increases on gold watches until they better reflect current commodity costs. Another scenario that makes sense would be to increase the production of stainless steel models and and slow down the production of gold watches, lessening the impact to the bottom line or maybe even stop making gold watches all together. Whatever happens, one thing is for sure, we are seeing fewer and fewer solid gold watches pass through our estate department. Our latest gold watch is this beautiful Panerai Radiomir 1940 3-Days reference PAM00575 crafted from 18 karat rose gold. This model was introduced around 8 years ago and came with a USD retail price of $18,100.00. Most Panerai we see are very large, very thick, and make a bold statement. While the 18 karat rose gold Radiomir isn’t small at 42mm, the thin 11.5mm profile and short lugs make for an easy the wear watch. Not a true sports watch yet not exactly a dress watch either with an instantly recognizable Panerai face that is all function. A matte black sandwich dial with oversized Arabic 12,3,6, large hash mark hour indexes, all treated to some of brightest luminova you’re going to encounter. The Panerai “Sandwich” dial is a unique detail that gives many of their watches a special look with a practical advantage. An exquisitely pierced dial is layered on top of a luminous disc that glows from the bottom. This layered manufacturing technique allows maximum luminous properties without a large surface applied frame to stabilize the delicate glowing material. In the daylight this makes the hour markers appear sunken below the dial surface. In the dark the hour markers explode in a luminous display that is much brighter than you’d expect given the actual area of luminous material. Powering the Radiomir is a proprietary in-house manufactured 21 jewel hand wind mechanism. When fully wound this beautiful movement can power the watch for 3 full days. Many of the 152 components used in calibre P.1000 are visible through the case back display window. This movement measures less than 4mm in thickness and features an unusual fly-back hacking seconds hand. When the threaded crown is pulled out fully into the setting position the small subsidiary seconds hand at 9:00 o’clock instantly flies back to the 60 seconds position. This is a thoughtful detail for synchronizing the time with an audible time signal. This watch was delivered in Canada for an authorized Panerai agent in the late 2019 and comes complete with all of the original packaging, documents and endorsed warranty card. It has hardly been worn, never polished, and looks like new old stock. The top grade black crocodile strap is blemish free and shows no evidence of use. Attached to the strap is a signed Panerai 18 karat rose gold buckle that is secured with a threaded screw. The watch is running great and keeping excellent time. There is definitely something special about the wearing experience of a gold watch. The added density of 18 karat convey a genuine feeling of luxury. The gross weight of the watch including the strap is a significant 100 grams. We are happy to provide the next owner with a no charge 1-year warranty. If the price of gold continues to rise it’s just a matter of time before production costs will result in retail pricing almost no one can afford; and those who can, they may refuse to purchase because the perceived value may be difficult to identify. $17,000.00 is quite a bit of money, but priced by the gram this gold watch and many other solid gold watches offer some genuine value. Get em while you still can. Stock #501-00395.

2010 Omega Chronoscope 4850.50.31 41mm, rare model. $6,500.00 CAD. 510-00104

Omega’s De Ville Chronoscope 4850.50.31 on the black padded crocodile strap has got to be one of the most striking watches ever produced by the 178 year old Swiss luxury watch manufacturer. From the large 41mm polished stainless steel case, to the beautiful “smiley face” silver on black dial, this watch has almost too many great details to mention. Even the presentation box is worth mentioning, with a thick coating of lacquer over rich reddish brown wood with beautiful graining and applied vintage Omega logo. The dial is a miniature work of art too. Counter sunk circular graining on the chronograph registers, faceted  hour markers, applied Omega logo, delicately framed large calendar window, luminous hands, beautiful raised text printing, the dial really twinkles as the watch is worn. As pretty as the outside is, the inner works are an exercise in mechanical art. Omega’s 37 jewel calibre 3313 keeps time to chronometer level accuracy with a long 52 hour power reserve. The clear display case back reveals the highly engineered, beautifully decorated automatic movement for all to see. An easy to use, locking deployment buckle is contoured to the shape of your wrist making the watch a treat to wear. Purchased brand new from Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers in March 2010. It is in very good condition showing minor wear from occasional use only. It is completely original right down to the factory delivered black crocodile leather strap. The case and deployment buckle have never been polished or refinished. Comes complete with all of the original packaging, instructions and endorsed warranty card. Bill Le Boeuf Jewellers will cover the watch with our 1 year in house warranty. Before this model was retired it carried a retail price of $7,300.00 USD. Our estate price is $6,500.00 CAD.
