Tag Heuer Carrera Chronograph blue ceramic CBM2112-0 41.5mm. $3,100.00 CAD. 520-00178

The Tag-Heuer Carrera and Porsche Carrera are both pinnacle products for each brand. TAG Heuer’s Carrera line was part of a great race in the mid-1960s to develop the first automatic winding chronograph. Heuer partnered with Breitling and Hamilton to face off against Zenith. Together they launched their Calibre 11 six months before Zenith’s El Primero hit the market. The caliber 11 was shown in a line of automatic chronographs that debuted in Geneve and New York. The launch included TAG’s Carrera, Autavia, and Monaco models. The original Carrera itself was designed and launched in 1963 by Jack Heuer as the first chronograph (not yet automatic) specifically designed for professional drivers. He was inspired by La Carrera Panamericana Mexican Road Race; one of the most famous events in auto racing history running only from 1950-1954. Porsche competed in the grueling Mexican race and won its class in 1952. The name Carrera is reserved for Porsche models of special high performance specification and race developed models. Our latest Carrera is a sporting watch that keeps the tradition of high performance mechanical timekeeping with an analogue stopwatch feature. The stopwatch registers are distinguished by the bright orange tips on the hands for hours, minutes, and seconds. The start/stop pusher button is also highlighted with and orange band. This is our first Carrera to feature a blue dial with a super hard and resistant ceramic tachymetre bezel scale. The sharp edged bezel has historically been made of stainless steel that is prone to getting dents and dings as it sits outside the case diameter. This design should fend off the pesky impact marks. The sunburst blue dial with silver register rings is very attractive, seeing some colour on a Carrera is welcome as most we see are black. This watch is in lightly worn original condition showing only minor scuffs and light scratches on the case and bracelet. If you’d like a current edition blue ceramic Carrera, it is shown on the Tag Heuer website for $8,950.00. Our lightly worn Carrera comes with its warranty card (not dated), instructions, and packaging. The watch is running great and keeping excellent time. Included with purchase is our complimentary 1-year warranty. Price is $3,100.00 CAD. 520-00178.

1 ounce .9999 fine gold bar Royal Canadian Mint. Spot plus 2%. 912-00879

They say “fortune favors the brave”, and it does take some nerve to buy into the market at an all time high (January 23, 2026). On the other hand you could have bought gold last year when it cost $4,100.00, six months ago at $4,500.00, or 30 days ago at $6,140.00 and it still would have been at an all time high. They also say “the trend is your friend” and the trend is definitely moving up and to the right. Please DO NOT take investment advice from your jeweller as we may be bias to the allure of all things gold, but it is our opinion that everyone should own a piece of financial insurance that is completely disconnected from paper debt notes. Buy some gold, buy some silver, put it away and we think you’ll be happy when the time comes to trade it or sell it for something you need, just like people have been doing with precious metals for thousands of years. This fine gold bar was manufactured by the Royal Canadian Mint. It’s purity of .9999 is about as good as it gets and RCM products are one of the most sought after around the world. They can be purchased in Canada sales tax free. This bar is priced at just 2% over the current spot price for gold. To check the current price for gold bullion click here. Please remember bullion purchases by credit card are subject to a 2% fee to cover the costs charged to us by VISA and MasterCard. Sometimes we have gold bullion to sell and sometimes we have none. If you want some gold bullion, a 1 one ounce Royal Canadian Mint bar in its original sealed package is a desirable way to do it. Stock #912-00879.

2025 Tag Heuer Solargraph Formula 1 38mm WBY1111. $2,100.00 CAD. 520-00188

The watch that arguably saved the brand from extinction is back looking much as it did in 1985 but with modern technology. The Formula 1 was a superstar in the 80s, it was the watch to have, personifying the decade with bright coloured dials, straps and even colourful composite cases. They were the Swatch watch for the kids who had some money. We remember selling these way back then when they had a retail prices starting at under $300.00. Some of the newest Formula 1 models now feature “Solargraph” technology. The new quartz mechanism co-developed with  La Joux-Perret Manufacture in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland are powered by nothing more than exposure to natural or artificial light. Hidden behind the semitranslucent dial is a solar collector that can efficiently store a days worth of energy with just one minute of light exposure. A full charge is achieved after 40 hours of light exposure that lasts 10 months. The clever design also features a power save mode; when not in the light the movement enters into a power conservation mode, once exposed to light again it comes back to life after about 10 seconds. Tag Heuer say rechargeable power cell should be good for 15 years before needing replacing. That means this watch needs zero maintenance until the year 2040! The Formula 1 has always been an important watch for the brand. They have had several generations of style changes, always having a connection to the original. The newest incarnation is truly an homage to the first series. The case design is practically identical except brought up to a more modern 38mm diameter with much sharper edges, yet keeping that familiar silhouette. The timer bezel now rotates in both directions with 60 indexes, the crystal is a huge upgrade to lab-grown sapphire which will stand up far better the the 80s glass crystals. The guarded crown is a simple design, pull out to adjust rather than being threaded. Tag Heuer still rate the watch with a water resistance rating of 100 meters. You won’t find the Rolex inspired Jubilee style bracelet on this Formula 1, the newest F1 bracelet is an equally comfortable design featuring 3 segment links that resemble a Rolex Oyster link except much shorter. There is no diver extension concealed under the locking buckle but it is short and has a comfortably low profile. The silvery white dial is very similar to the 80s versions with red chapter ring indexed for minutes and logo shaped markers for 6, 9 and 12. The luminous hour plots are now applied rather than just printed. All and all we love the, “what’s old is new” vibe of the latest Formula 1. This example is in virtually new condition. It is only a few months old and was only occasionally worn during that time. There are only a couple of minute scuffs on the buckle that we could find as evidence of any use. It was bought in Ontario at an authorized Tag Heuer agent and benefits from the balance of the factory warranty. This is a new model shown on the Tag Heuer website with a suggested retail price of $2,550.00. Our hardly worn model comes with the original packaging and documents. It is estate priced at $2,100.00 CAD. Stock #520-00188.

14kt. Tiffany styled “Hardware” paperclip/ball necklace, 18 inch, 26.9gr., Italy. $5,040.00 CAD. 431-00894

One of the most popular styles of gold necklaces is the “paperclip” link. They’ve been around for a long time but the style really took off about 5 years ago. The basic paperclip design is nothing more than an elongated flat sided oval shaped link. Our latest estate necklace is a similar to a paperclip but this link has balls at opposite ends of every other link. The double balls are soldered together but allow a sliding movement between each link. This modification takes the basic paperclip design to a whole new level. The fit and finish of this necklace is excellent. Made in Italy to the typical high quality standard we expect from luxury Italian manufacturers. It measures 10mm wide at the ball sections and 18 inches in overall length. While it is of hollow construction the gauge is quite heavy. The necklace weighs 26.9 grams (0.86 troy ounce). It is secured by an oversized sturdy lobster clasp. The price of gold has done nothing but go up over the past few years and the trend still appears to be going higher. This necklace is in excellent condition and looks unworn. Estate price of $5,040.00.00 CAD. Stock #431-00901.
